Jack Krueger

Jack is currently an undergraduate student at University of Minnesota Twin Cities. He will graduate in 2019 with a degree in Chemistry and intends to pursue a career in regulatory affairs. A native of Crookston, he is working with us during summer break. He is separating a series of sesquiterpene lactones exemplified by helenalin using MPLC and HPLC.

Sierra Trost

Sierra graudated from UMC in 2016 with a degree in Health Sciences. She worked with You Bin (Vickie) Lee and Drs. Dingmann and Mukku on the antibacterial properties of medicinal plant extracts using alamar blue assay. Sierra and Vickie presented their work at NCUR 2015. Currently Sierra is a first year student at the Medical School, University of Minnesota Twin Cities.

 Brooke Vatthauer

Brooke (right in the picture) graduated from UMC in 2015 with degrees in Biology and Health Sciences and minors in Chemistry and Coaching. She worked with Rochelle on fingerprinting biologically active extracts using HPLC and presented her work at NCUR 2014. Currently she is working as an optometric technician at Lifetime Vision Center, Grand Forks.  

Rochelle Hulinsky 

Rochelle (left in the picture) graduated in 2015 with a degree in Animal Science (Pre-Vet emphasis). She is currently attending the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities and will graduate in 2019.

Shawn Friedland

Shawn graduated from UMC with a degree in Biology. He worked on the anbacterial acitivities of selected secondary metabolites and isolated flavonoids from the seed extract of Helenium autumnale. He is currently a 2nd year medical student at St. George's University in Grenada.
